Park Soyeon (박소연) is a South Korean YouTuber and soloist under Gachi Entertainment. She made her debut on December 1, 2020 with the single “Flower”.

She is best known for being a contestant on the survival show Produce 101.

Career

2012: K-pop Star 2

Park Soyeon originally appeared on the competition show K-pop Star 2. During her time on the show, she was a member of the YouU unit. The unit made it to the Top 10, being eliminated in episode 13.[1]

2016: Produce 101

In 2016, she appeared on the survival show Produce 101 as a trainee representing LOEN Entertainment. She ranked 18th place in the finale, therefore being unable to debut with I.O.I.[2]

2017–present: FAVEGIRLS, YouTuber

In June 2017, it was announced she, alongside fellow Produce 101 contestant Lee Soomin, were set to debut in LOEN Entertainment’s new girl group, LOEN Girls (now known as Weeekly). [3]

On September 1, 2018, it was reported that she, alongside fellow FAVE Entertainment trainees Lee Soomin and Kim Bowon, had left the agency and FAVEGIRLS after terminating their contracts.[4]

In October 2019, she opened a YouTube channel under the name ‘소연이랑 With SoYeon’.

On November 30, 2020 Soyeon debuted with the single “Flower” under Gachi Entertainment.
