2012 was a simpler time, wasn’t it? Obama was re-elected, the world definitely didn’t end and Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcomed their first daughter, Blue Ivy.

All was well in that little family’s world as the musical duo delved into parenthood. It’s why it comes as a bit of a shock to think that yes, that all began 10 years ago, those parents are no longer raising a baby. They’re raising a full-blown tween.

Yep, the internet is in a stress-induced spin after seeing new pictures of Blue Ivy as she attended an NBA game with her dad overnight.

In the images, Blue Ivy, now 10, looks incredibly like her famous mother with a head of gorgeous curls. Her fashion game is also already peaking too: she wore a leather jacket, nike sneakers, hoop earrings and a pair of sunglasses. Girl’s got style game, that’s for sure.

Naturally, as soon as news outlets began sharing the images the online world went into meltdown over how much Blue has grown.

“BLUE IVY?? THE BABY?????” One IG user wrote.

“I feel thousand years old, yes Sir,” another said.

Look, we’re all for ageing gracefully—the best is yet to come etc etc—but there’s something about seeing a celebrity baby grow into an actual human that’s kind of confronting. Or is it merely surprising? Maybe it’s a little bit shocking. Whatever you feel, this baby is definitely no longer a baby so we’ll just let that sink in.

During the NBA game, onlookers noted how happy Blue Ivy and dad Jay-Z were to be on a father-daughter date.

“Throughout the game Jay had his arm around her shoulder and was pointing out different things on the court to her. He was so proud of her. He gave her a big dad kiss on the cheek,” one eyewitness told E! News.

Another noted that Blue Ivy “got a little embarrassed when she was shown on the Jumbotron,” though they added that that the moment was “cute”.

There’s no doubt the 10-year-old is her mother’s daughter. Just this week fans were again in a spin when Beyoncé’s mum, Tina Knowles, shared a video of Blue Ivy dancing to her mum’s song, Be Alive, alongside a video of Queen Bey dancing 30 years earlier.

The comments section quickly flooded with fans remarking how similar Blue Ivy looked to her mum.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z also share twins, Rumi and Sir, who are both five years old. Give them another five and we’ll be right back here losing our collective minds. Time really does fly.
