VSETT 9+ 15.6Ah
So I purchased the 9+ 15.6ah version on August 8/2022 and for the most part it’s been everything I could have hoped for and more! Buying from Rev Rides has truly been an amazing experience. Shipping and handling is freaky fast also the fact that they go through the scooter before they ship it out is awesome. You get a card with your new scooter with a checklist showing all the things they’ve inspected including pre sliming the tires like what who else in the world takes extra steps like that before they ship , no one that’s who!!!! I would definitely purchase from them again and again at least I’ll never have to worry about getting a dead on arrival product from them and you won’t either.
So let me start from what I’m coming from. I’m 51 years old and way 200lbs I have degenerative spine disease along with arthritis from my hip to my neck. So I purchased this because of the lack of suspension on my old scooter the ninebot max although a great scooter would have me in so much pain after a 2 mile ride that many times I just about gave up whole scooter thing. Boi am I ever glad I didn’t ! This vsett 9+ has an absolutely amazing ride. The roads where I live are absolutely terrible from the harsh winters and the vsett just soaks up all the cracks and potholes like a cushion of air. I can ride 6-7 miles and not be in any pain when I come home versus the ninebot’s measly 1-2 miles and ready to call it quits. The power and torque are absolutely astonishing like I mean no freaking joke!!! Dual motors all day I will never go back to single motor again. I was at first hesitant about the finger trigger versus the thumb throttle but that quickly went away within the first couple of miles I now actually prefer it. I was also skeptical about the 8.5 inch tires but coupled with the suspension it’s an absolute dream to ride!!! But best of all no more soar back after riding. Compared to other performance scooter’s out there it’s really light weight at only 55lbs. This scooter really checks all the boxes for me except for 1 and it’s a big one the battery life/range!!!! I ride with others that are on ninebot max’s so my average speed varies from 15mph to 20mph an on occasion I’ll ramp it up to 30/35 mph but not very often as I don’t want to leave the others behind. On a full charge in dual motor mode acceleration set to 2 in the P settings I’m only getting about 14 miles on a full charge now mind you I have never ran the battery to 0% I usually call it quits at about 43 volts as I do not want to destroy my battery. I’ve spoken with Rev Rides about this and was told that didn’t seem right and I completely agree but was not presented with a solution. So this is the reason I can not give this 5 stars. I believe it deserves 5 but the range really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I’m not sure if I have a bad battery or not and it has not given me any other problems. I also just purchased a 10+ last week and if the range was better on the 9+ than what I’m getting I would actually choose the 9 over the 10 because of its light weight ride quality and power it’s truly amazing. I also inquired about a bigger battery for the 9 but was told that it was like 800 dollars so I don’t think I’ll be going that route. I guess for quick rides I’ll use the 9 and for longer I’ll jump on the 10.
Again not sure if I have a bad battery or not it’s an absolute blast to ride and I really want to love it. So close yet so far away……..
