The Hello Kitty food truck is coming to the Boston area

Get ready to kick that childhood nostalgia into high gear because the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will be pulling into the Boston area this weekend—and the beloved, bubblegum-pink vehicle will have all of its endearing offerings in tow.

The adorable, cartoon-clad vehicle—which sells tasty treats and darling merch exclusively dedicated to the popular Sanrio character—will be continuing its latest East Coast tour, rolling into Braintree this Saturday, August 28. From 10am to 7pm, you’ll find this novelty food truck and mobile store at the South Shore Plaza, parked right between Macy’s and The Cheesecake Factory.

Fans can fill up on themed goodies that are almost too cute to eat. Amongst the menu items will be the truck’s best-selling giant Hello Kitty Chef Cookies, as well as sets of delicate madeleines, macarons and mini-cakes—all of which can be washed down with bottled water shaped just like the cat’s signature bow.

Non-edible offerings include exclusive, limited-edition collectibles, like pink heart t-shirts, rainbow thermoses, truck lunchboxes, sprinkle mugs and enamel pin sets.

If you do make the trek south of the city, be sure to bring your credit or debit card because the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck won’t be accepting cash. You should also expect to find various health and sanitation procedures in place to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck has been touring throughout the U.S. since its inception in 2014. Over the last seven years, it’s brought joy to folks in over 100 cities across the country.
