Tamako’s designs from the series

Tamako Kataoka (Japanese order: Kataoka Tamako) changed her name to Tamako Nobi (J-order Nobi Tamako) after marrying Nobisuke Nobi. She is one of the supporting characters in Doraemon. In the English dub her name is shortened to Tammy Nobi. She is Nobita’s stay-at-home mother, she known to be very strict, is usually seen scolding Nobita, grounding him, or sending him out of the house (a typical Japanese household punishment used by parents). She get really angry when Nobita get bad grades from his homework or when he mess up his room.

In “The Cute Rock Story” a few shots of Tamako in pantyhose are shown when she appeared in Nobita room and thought she heard a dog, even though she said he can’t have one (not knowing that the small pebble on the ground is the dog). At the beginning, we see her feet in green slippers.
