Under the Argentine coach, he played 27 matches, 17 in the league, 6 in the Copa del Rey and 4 in the Champions League.
The following year, now under Luis Enrique, Sergi Roberto appeared in 18 matches, 12 in the league, 2 in the Champions League and 4 in the Copa del Rey. His two goals that season were both scored in the Copa del Rey.
