Obituary | Julia Winter of Waterford, Michigan | Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center

Julia Winter, age 93, passed away June 16, 2022 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Oakland after a long illness.  Funeral service will be held 2pm, Friday, June 24, 2022 Community Presbyterian Church, 4301 Monroe Ave, Waterford, MI 48329.  Family will receive visitors from 1pm until time of service Friday at the church followed by a graveside service at Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston.  Pastor Dana Wilmot officiating. Julia was joined in marriage to Norman Winter July 19, 1952 in Pontiac, MI. Julia was an active member of Community Presbyterian and Auburn Hills Presbyterian Church activities, such as the choir, their bowling league and many other functions.  Music was her passion, especially playing the organ surrounded with people singing.  She also enjoyed ballroom dancing, line dancing, and most anything to do with water such as swimming, and canoeing and travel. Julia held several positions in her working career from Georges in downtown Pontiac to working at City Hall, first in the Health Department and finally as a Legal Secretary/Office Manager for the City of Pontiac. She is survived by daughter Nanette (James) Winter-Balek, son Gregory Winter, grandchildren Julie (Eddy Boester), Cindy (Jake) Wheeler, Paula (Ryan) Beam, Geoff (Becca) Winter, great grandchildren Micaela, Jacob Kai, Emma, Gracie, one sister Margaret Lemos and many nieces, nephews and other relatives, special mention of Gail (Robert) Hallyburton, James Couch, Sue Burean, Jody Burmeister, and Maria Pierantocci.  Julia was preceded in death by her devoted husband Norman, the love of her life.
