Korean YouTuber Yang Soo Bin Inspires With Her Incredible Weight Loss Journey

Korean YouTuber Yang Soo Bin is well-loved for her goofy personality and entertaining videos that range from mukbangs to “counseling center” episodes.

She gained attention in 2020 for her dramatic transformation, having gone from 131kg to 87kg in a little over a year.

In the three years since she started her weight loss journey, Yang Soo Bin has continued to diligently workout and diet, shocking fans with her incredible transformation.

In a video uploaded to her YouTube channel, Yang Soo Bin explained that she realized she needed to lose weight due to health concerns.

As many of you already know, I used to be 138kg and I’ve been living as obese for all of my life. So at an early age, I’ve gone to the hospital often due to diabetes, frequent headaches, and some minor ailments. Although I’ve been sick all day, I just ignored my health.

In fact, the YouTuber even had cancer that she was unaware of until she began to lose weight.

I found out about this after the diet, but I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I couldn’t notice the tumor growing inside of me because of the fat. I have no idea what would’ve happened if I kept living like that… So terrifying.

But Yang Soo Bin’s physical and mental health has improved since she started to work out and diet.

After the diet, I can definitely feel that I’m getting healthier. A person who’s been having headaches for all her life is not ill anymore. My high blood sugar level came back to normal. As I get healthier, I can definitely feel a change of heart. I can finally love myself more and understand what self-esteem is. So I got healthier mentally as well.

[May 15th] marks three years of Soo Bin’s weight loss journey.

While the recognition and praise I get from other people do make me proud, it is the sense of accomplishment and happiness I feel from having put in the desperate effort that I find simply incomparable. I learned that getting there faster is not what matters, whether it’s for weight loss or any other progress you’re trying to make. I believe the most important thing is to find your own pace and keep going without stopping. As long as you have a clear goal, you can take as long as you need to get there. Try hard and try every day. Try every day and become great.
