South Korean pop singer J.Fla rose to fame on the strength of cover songs she posted to YouTube, starting with a version of Beyoncé’s “Halo” in 2011.
• Before she began posting videos online, J.Fla (born Kim Jeong-hwa) wrote songs for artists like Japanese American singer Yuna Ito.
• J.Fla released her debut EP, 바보 같은 Story, in 2013. It was the first of 11 EPs she put out through 2017.
• Her first full-length album, Blossom, came in 2017. The album features covers of songs by Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, and The Weeknd.
• J.Fla had a busy 2018, releasing three albums—The J.Fla Collection, Believer, and Natural—that mixed originals among covers of songs made famous by Luis Fonsi, Camila Cabello, Queen, Taylor Swift, and ABBA.
