Prospective feline adopters! MEOW Cat Rescue is excited to announce that we are now open on Thursdays from 2pm – 5pm, by appointment ONLY.

Individuals who are looking to adopt a new feline or two into their home can schedule an appointment by submitting an application online.

We are open Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm – 5pm for those not wishing to make an appointment.

Our staff and volunteers are fully vaccinated and will be wearing masks for their safety and yours. We respectfully require visitors to also wear masks, use sanitizer provided, and be aware of social distancing.

While King County has rolled back its indoor mask mandate for most public spaces, MEOW Cat Rescue has joined several other private businesses in our community in deciding to continue requiring patrons to wear a mask or similar covering when entering our facility. This will be revisited on a regular basis going forward and the requirement lifted when we’re confident that we can keep our staff and volunteers safe, healthy, and available to the animals we care for.

Our current open hours are Thursdays 2pm – 5pm by appointment only, and Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm – 5pm, for walk-ins as well as appointments. On weekends, we are happily taking walk-ins as allowed by our shelter’s capacity. However, we HIGHLY suggest appointments, as potential adopters with an appointment will receive priority whenever shelter capacity is an issue.

As they become available for adoption, cats and kittens are posted on Petfinder, which feeds to our website at https://meowcatrescue.org/adopt/available-cats. Please let us know who you’re interested in when you submit your application.

An approved Adoption Application is required to be invited to visit with the cats and kittens. Although you may fill out an application at the shelter, a pre-approved application will streamline your shelter experience.
