Gary Cahill | Booking Agent | Talent Roster | MN2S
Centre back Gary Cahill is a familiar face in the England squad, having made 61 appearances for the senior team between 2010 and 2018. Cahill lead the team as captain as they won against Estonia in a 2016 UEFA European Championship qualifying match and was regularly named as vice-captain supporting Wayne Rooney. Despite playing as a defender, Cahill has an impressive goal-scoring record, securing 5 for England and 13 for Bolton Wanderers and Chelsea FC.
Cahill’s football career started at Aston Villa, and after time with Burnley, Sheffield United and Bolton – where he was named the Player’s Player of the Year in 2009 – he made the move to Stamford Bridge in 2012. Cahill made over 190 appearances for the Blues and as captain was instrumental in the team topping the Premier League. He was named three times in the PFA Team of the Year.
Have played under managers such as Roy Hodgson and Stuart Pearce while earning two Premier League titles, two FA Cups, one Champions League and one League Cup, it would be an understatement to say that Cahill has a wealth of football experience. He continues to play professionally as part of the 23-man England squad for the 2018 World Cup, and recently signed with Premier League club Crystal Palace where he has been reunited with manager Hodgson. Off the pitch Cahill enjoys debating football with his 1.2m Twitter followers.
