Ahn Jae Wook
Ahn Jae Wook is an award-winning South Korean veteran actor and singer whose prolific career spans television, film, theatre, radio and music. Born on September 12, 1971, he made his acting debut in the 1994 television drama “Song of a Blind Bird.” But it was the popular 1997 drama “Star in My Heart” that turned Ahn Jae Wook into a bona fide Hallyu star, with his popularity reaching China, Japan and Southeast Asia. The series also kicked off Ahn Jae Wook’s music career with the soundtrack “Forever,” and he went on to release many albums since. After starring in the television drama “Lights and Shadows” (2011-2012), Ahn Jae Wook took a four-year hiatus from television before returning in “Five Children” (2016). In 2013, Ahn Jae Wook underwent brain surgery in the United States for a condition known as subarachnoid hemorrhage. Ahn Jae Wook married musical theater actress Choi Hyun Joo in 2015.
