The Name Dictionary is a social art campaign that uses the power of our names, art, and stories to disempower and reframe the microaggression, “People with foreign names should be in the dictionary with their picture in it” in order to shine light on the importance of name pronunciation and the impact that it has on identity and culture. Participation is open to anybody who has ever felt “othered” or proud of their names.
