Smita Bansal: I don’t really miss working, it’s that phase of my life where I’m okay relaxing at home – Times of India

The pandemic has brought about changes in people and the way they feel. Smita says, “I have had mixed feelings about this period which has been so unpredictable. When the lockdown happened for the first time, we were all shocked. But later spending time with family was like a blessing for me. I spent a lot of time with my daughters. Last year, by the end of june my work started again and I had to be back on the sets. With rising cases, it was risky but later we got used to it by taking precautions.”

So is she hoping to get back to work soon? “Earlier I was someone who didn’t want to relax. Then this ‘relaxing period’ was forced on me and now I am actually enjoying it. I anyway don’t jump from one show to another and always like some gap in between. All shootings shifted to different cities, so it’s better I stay at home and be safe. I have not really missed working and it’s that phase of my life where I am okay w

relaxing at home. Work is something that will keep happening because offers are coming my way, but the project too needs to be good for me to accept it.”

Actress Smita Bansal was last seen in the show Aladdin : Naam To Suna Hoga as Rukhsar . The show went off air this year in January. Smita has not taken up any new show and is no hurry to do so either. The actress, who has been a part of shows like Balika Vadhu , Nazar, Jaana Na Dil Se Door among others, says, “I am currently just taking rest, spending time with my family and staying safe. I was in Jaipur with my parents for around two months along with my daughters and husband. We thought of visiting them for a week, but traveling back wasn’t safe, so we stayed there and had a good time together. There was no work stress as it was work from home for my husband and online schooling for my kids.”The pandemic has brought about changes in people and the way they feel. Earlier we were not sure whether she should travel abroad for studies, but then we decided to go ahead. We have relatives there, so she will be living with them, so that doesn’t worry me,” says Smita. So is she hoping to get back to work soon? “Earlier I was someone who didn’t want to relax.
