MacKenzie Foy

MacKenzie (she/they) is an afrofuturist, cultural organizer, and foodie currently living on Piscataway land in Baltimore, MD. She has been pulling stories into strategy, action, and print for nearly a decade. MacKenzie has hand a hand in producing and directing zines, films, music videos, performances,and campaigns with organizations like Jobs With Justice, the Center for Story-based Strategy, the Laura Coates Show on SiriusXM, Arena Theatre in Washington, DC, Market Road Films, and the Public Theatre in NYC, amongst other media partners. Today, she writes and produces content for Jobs With Justice Education Fund and is the founding Editor-in-chief of culinary fiction magazine, Village X. The projects in her portfolio reflect a range of curations, writings, and visual expressions exploring sovereignty, Black women’s labor, culinary history, and speculative fiction.
