Lee Soo Man (이수만) is a South Korean executive, producer, and former singer-songwriter. He is the founder and former CEO of SM Entertainment.
Prior to the founding of SM in 1989, he began his career in 1972 as a singer in the folk duo April & May but left three months into their debut due to health problems.[1] He then made his solo debut in 1977 with his first self-titled album Lee Soo Man. In 1980, he founded the rock band Lee Soo Man & 365 Days.
