PLAINFIELD, MI — Officers from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office looked to shred some powder with the community they serve during their Saturday, Feb. 13 Sledding with a Sheriff event.
“We were just trying to come up with a cool function, something to do to reach out and participate with the community,” Bernal-Hill said.
Let’s have a sledding event, bring hot cocoa and just have a good time out with the kids.”Members of the sheriff’s office and their families even brought sleds to join guests, some racing each other down the hill.
Events like this are important in building closer connections between the sheriff’s office and those they serve – all while having a little fun in the process, Bernal-Hill said.
“I’m glad to see the community come out for these kinds of events,” Kyle said.
