Central Park Modern Dentistry (formerly Stapleton Modern Dental) is located in Denver, Colorado. Our team of dental experts includes regular and cosmetic dentists, endodontists, orthodontists, periodontists, and oral surgeons. The office is led by Dr. Angela Phan. Learn more about our office.

Dr. Angela Phan – General & Cosmetic Dentist

Dr. Angela Phan was born and raised in Moore, Oklahoma where she is the 4th of 5 kids. She graduated with her DDS from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in Oklahoma City. She also received her Bachelors of Science in Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. She currently resides in Denver with her Goldendoodle, Melvin. In her spare time she loves to hike, ski, travel, eat, and binge Netflix. She is a huge OKC Thunder fan and Oklahoma Sooners fan. Since moving to Denver she has adopted the Broncos as her NFL team.

Dr. John Sporidis, D.D.S.

Dr Sporidis is originally from the Washington DC area. After graduating with honors from Virginia Tech, he trained to become a general dentist at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr Sporidis worked for several years in private practice in Washington DC and Northern Virginia before moving to Denver, where he currently resides. Dr Sporidis is passionate about performing high quality dental work, while creating a warm and relaxed environment. Outside of work, Dr Sporidis enjoys spending time with friends and family, running, and making music.

Dr. Ahmed B. Salman, D.D.S., M.S.D. – Endodontist

Dr. Salman was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. His initial dental training was at the University of Baghdad where he received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S). Afterward, he completed a one-year general practice residency at Cairo University Hospital in Egypt.

After a couple of years practicing as a general dentist, he decided to continue his educational journey in the United States where he obtained a second dental degree (D.D.S) from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. During his time at the dental school, he was recognized for his passion and received an award for Excellence in Endodontics.

After practicing in the Denver metro area as a general dentist his passion towards Endodontics lead him to pursue a postgraduate training at the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. He received a certificate of specialty in Endodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry (M.S.D). During his residency, Dr. Salman received the postgraduate OKU clinical excellence day award for his 1st place clinical presentation.

Dr. Salman is Board Eligible with the American Board of Endodontics. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Colorado Dental Association and the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society.

During his free time, Dr. Salman plays soccer on weekly basis and enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.

Dr. Maria Petroche – Periodontist

Dr. Petroche grew up in Florida and attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She then completed her 3-year Periodontology residency and received her Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, while also working in private practice. At Boston University, she was awarded the merit based Zanni Scholarship and was her class president. Dr. Petroche chiefly focuses on minimally invasive surgery and has extensive training using advanced digitized implant workflow to deliver the best care for her patients. She has received extensive training and certification in IV conscious sedation during her residency which allows her to provide treatment for patients with dental anxiety. Dr. Petroche is trilingual; she speaks Spanish and Portuguese fluently. She enjoys challenging esthetic cases and has advanced training in cosmetic injectables. In her free time, Dr. Petroche enjoys hiking with her husband and dog, scuba diving, skiing, and trying new restaurants.

Dr. Petroche is Board Eligible with the American Board of Periodontology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration, and the Colorado Dental Association.
