Nicholas Bernard James Adam “Nicky” Byrne, Jr. is an Irish singer, radio/TV presenter and dancer. Before his music career began, he was a semi-pro football player.

He is best known for being a member of the popular Irish boyband Westlife, which disbanded in 2012. Since the band’s break-up, he has continued to have a successful career in radio and TV presenting. In 2012, he participated in the 10th series of Strictly Come Dancing.

After much speculation, on 13 January 2016 it was revealed that Nicky was chosen internally by RTE to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, where he performed the song Sunlight and did not advance from the second semifinal. He had been the Irish spokesperson from 2013 to 2015, 2017 and 2018.
