Watch out, everybody. December is coming, which means Jesse Lingard is about to turn into Lingardinho once again.

In case you were wondering, Lingard typically struggles throughout a season, except for the month of December – his birth month.

And the signs are already there, after the ‘wonderkid’ scored his first goal in 10 months while captaining the Manchester United Kids XI to a 2-1 defeat to Astana in the Europa League on Friday morning (SGT).

Which makes sense, because December is just three days away.

It didn’t matter to Man Utd fans that they actually lost the game. After all, losing has become such a common occurrence for Man Utd these days that their defeat to a club founded only 10 years ago, a club that previously hadn’t won a game in the Europa League this season, didn’t even raise an eyebrow.

Instead, fans were more interested in dreaming of the day Lingard would fulfil his potential and lead them to glory…in 10 years’ time.
