  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, 2011, Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma
  • M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, 2007, Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma
  • B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, 2005, Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma

RESEARCH AREAS

  • Wearable robotics
  • Rehabilitation engineering
  • Sensorimotor control and learning

AREAS OF SPECIAL INTEREST

Dr. Sergi studies human-robot interaction in the context of rehabilitation and assistance to human movements. He develops robots and and pursues their application in motion augmentation, rehabilitation and as advanced tools to study movement neuromechanics. His research addresses problems in robot design, control, and addresses questions about how the brain and muscles contribute to human movements, and about how rehabilitation paradigms may support recovery of motor function after neuromotor disorders.
